A is for ...

this is a series of freehand digital drawings made after a painting of Frank Auerbach
(Catherine Lampert ,  Profile 1997)
i.e. 1st of an ABC of Re-Views after beloved artists started during the lockdown enjoying my studio's bookcase and (more or less) following the alphabet

ready-made Re-Views (1) . May '20

'ready-made' Re-Views are joining me everywhere ...
i.e. tributes to Mario Merz , Richard Long , Olafur Eliasson and an unknown hard-edge artist
(the 3rd one actually was a prompt and failed attempt to make a sharp and clear picture of a sunset at Het Scheur and happily turned out to be a Re-View of Eliasson's 'The Weather Project', Tate Modern 2003)

eleven questions . nov '16

For one of the two parts of the 'Borgerstraat Publication 2017' we (all participating artists) were asked to react to eleven questions about our artist practice.  In my contribution to this part, I intuitively started to 'answer' in a way I like the most : by playing with the given list as visual input, by 'Re-View'-ing,  by drawing and intuitively mixing fragments and so on.
(the format and design of this part of the publication turned out to be purely verbal, so I decided to show the series here)
